THE MYTH To the Romans, Mare Nostrum ("Our Sea") was the highway of civilization—clear, navigable, and vital. This bag captures the crystalline blue of the Tyrrhenian shallows. It is not a dark, abyssal pigment, but a translucent wash of azure. The hand-painting technique preserves the transparency of the skin, allowing the natural architecture of the scales to rise through the color like corals through clear water.

 THE ARCHITECTURE The Livia is the embodiment of sovereign authority—the "Imperial Shield." The design is defined by its Scutum construction: a reinforced upper flap that descends over the body, creating a layered fortification of exotic skin. Anchored by solid 14k Gold hardware, it is a fortress of luxury, designed for the woman who holds her secrets behind a wall of absolute precision.

The creation of a single Augusta requires 36 hours of specialized craftsmanship, bridging the worlds of high leather goods and fine jewelry.
The Risk
The structure appears deceptively simple, but the Alligator Mississippiensis is an unforgiving medium. A single error in cutting or stitching ruins the skin permanently. The chassis is constructed by a master artisan with 40 years of experience, the only hands trusted to manipulate the material without compromising its geometry.
The Convergence
Finally, the 14k Gold & Diamond hardware—cast in Valenza—is transported to Florence to be mounted to the finished body, completing the object.
