The preciousness and uniqueness that characterise the raw materials of which each Dorotea Landi product is made require specific care and treatment.

To preserve the preciousness and beauty of your Dorotea Landi object over time, we suggest you follow the following advice:

Precious skins (alligator):

Any irregularities that naturally characterise exotic leathers are to be considered an indication of preciousness.

General Precautions:
- Avoid the object coming into contact with water and any other natural or artificial liquids that could irreparably damage the object;

- Avoid exposing the object to direct sunlight and any natural or artificial heat source (including radiators) to preserve the lustre and colouring of the skin;

- Avoid exposing the item to very cold temperatures to preserve the firmness and integrity of the leather;

- Avoid rubbing the item against rough or abrasive surfaces to prevent damage to the leather surface.

Leather care and cleaning:

- Avoid using water or any other type of liquid or detergent to clean the leather. Remove any dust with a clean dry white cotton or microfibre cloth following the direction of the scales;

- Remove any excess moisture from the skin by gently massaging it in the direction of the scales with a clean, dry cotton cloth and then allow it to dry completely in a dry, well- ventilated place away from natural or artificial heat sources.

Storage:

- Always store the object in the dustbag after use in a cool, dry place away from light and heat sources;

- Always store the item after use in such a way as to preserve its original shape and avoid damage to the leather.

Smooth leather (calfskin):

- Avoid prolonged exposure of the calfskin leather accessory to sunlight or natural or artificial heat sources that may alter its colour and finish;

- Avoid contact of the calfskin leather accessory with harsh chemicals, alcohols and solvents;

- Avoid rubbing the calfskin leather accessory against rough or abrasive surfaces that could cause damage and scratches to the surface of the item;

- Avoid prolonged exposure of the calfskin accessory to rain and extreme weather conditions;

- Clean the leather with gentle circular motions and a soft cloth;

- Always store the calfskin leather accessory in its dustbag after use in a cool, dry place away from light and heat sources.

Precious metals (9, 14 kt and 18kt gold):

- Avoid contact of precious metal accessories with rough or abrasive surfaces to prevent damage to the surface of the object;

- Avoid contact of the precious metal accessory with chlorine and any other aggressive chemical substance in order to preserve its integrity and appearance;

- Avoid contact of the precious metal accessory with perfumes, creams, cosmetics and hair products to preserve its natural shine;

- Remove any dust and polish the precious metal accessory with a soft cloth specifically designed for cleaning jewellery;

- Store the precious metal accessory in its dustbag in a cool dry place away from heat and moisture.

Acetate frame and lenses:

- Avoid contact of the acetate frame and lenses with rough or abrasive surfaces to prevent damage to the finish of the glasses and lenses;

- Avoid contact of the acetate frame and lenses with salt water and chlorine to preserve their lustre;

- Avoid prolonged exposure of the acetate frame and lenses to excessive heat sources to avoid damage to the lens coating and deformation of the acetate;

- Clean acetate frame and lenses with room temperature fresh water and a mild detergent free of harsh or abrasive chemicals, rinse and dry thoroughly with a soft microfiber cloth;

- Clean the lenses regularly with a microfibre cloth using gentle movements;

- Store the glasses in the dustbag after use to avoid dust accumulation on the lenses and frame.
